Ethiopia: Sunday, May 12th 2013

Started our day off bright & early around 5 am, listening to the chanting...which I didn't realize was also going on through the night! We had a delicious french toast & fruit breakfast at our guest house & then made our way to church at Jemo!! Church began around 10am & ended with The Lords Supper at around 1 pm!! What a delightful experience. I so enjoyed worshipping with our new friends & family in Ethiopia!!

 During the service, our team was called to the front & we each had the chance to introduce ourselves & share a bit from our hearts, it was a really special time. Once church was finished, we played with the children while we waited for lunch!!

Yordanose & Betelehem were so excited to see us come back on day 2!! The glimmer in their eyes was overwhelmingly beautiful!

{Me & my girls}
 love them!! This was a pretty special greeting!!!

 This was also the day when I was able to meet Yordanose' brothers & her father!! She lives with her mother, father & 3 brothers!! Her brother Biniam was so precious...he was 12 years old & was very kind & patient with the younger children & definitely looked after his little sister!!

 We then had lunch & then spent time visiting about our day over a coffee ceremony!! If you ever have the chance to drink Ethiopian coffee, I would strongly recommend you try!! Normally, I'm not a coffee drinker, but ET coffee is THAT good!!!
 coffee!!!!

After our coffee ceremony, we gathered in the chapel for a time of sweet worship with the children & staff. What a sweet, sweet time. The children began by singing a few songs for us & then Colin led everyone in a few songs while he played the guitar! It really was a precious day! Standing, arms held high, worshipping next to our sponsor daughters was something I will forever remember & treasure.. Once our worship time came to a close, we had a bit longer to play with our kids...yes, they are most definitely "our" kids!!! (and when I say "our" I mean our church family and all of the individuals/families that have the privilege of sponsoring these children!!) What a privilege it is!! Truly incredible!!

 Worship!!!

 Said our "see you tomorrow's!!"...hugged a bunch of sweet kiddos..and headed back for a yummy dinner of chicken curry & rice:) After dinner, we had the evening to think, process, hang out, visit, play cards etc!!!

 A great way to end day 2!!! Stay tuned for Day 3!!!
